VEX Robotics at Waukesha West

High school robotics tournament highlights teamwork, competition and skills.

In the first day of a VEX robotics tournament, high school students from Waukesha, Milwaukee, Oak Creek, Neenah, Fond du Lac and Illinois competed at .

Students build and programmed the robots, which created from the VEX Robotics Design System, to compete in this year's game of Gateway.

The event was hosted by CORE2062, Waukesha's high school robotics team made up of students from , West and high schools, and More Robotics from Thomas More High School in South Milwaukee.

High school tournament champions were teams two teams from St. Mary Central High School in Neenah, WI and a team from Thomas More in South Milwaukee.

The Excellence Award was given to the team Syntax Error from St. Mary Central High School. This award qualifies them for the World Vex tournament next spring in Anaheim, CA.
