Amy has a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee, where she became addicted to news, first as a reporter then as a news editor for the UWM Post. After graduation, she covered civic, police and school news for Menomonee Falls, Sussex, Lannon and Lisbon as a reporter for Community Newspapers, Inc.

After a hiatus from the profession to raise kids and experience life, she recently returned to community news writing: "I love writing about the area's communities and people. What happens at meetings, on the sports fields, in the schools and at community events ultimately reflects what's important in life."

Amy keeps busy by working part-time, volunteering at church and with school organizations and by being a full-time parent.
