'Open-Door Policy' on Apartment Building's 3rd Floor Extends to Green Underwear

Waukesha Police Department calls from Aug. 26 through Aug. 29.

Apparently walking around in your underwear is a normal occurrence on the third floor of a Waukesha apartment building.

Waukesha police were called to the 1800 block of Shepherd Court at 7:42 p.m. Monday after receiving a report that a man wearing only green underwear appeared to be intoxicated and angry. The man looked like he wanted to fight someone, but he wasn’t saying anything, according to the caller.

But when police arrived, the man and his car were gone. A neighbor told police the behavior is normal and that most of the third floor walks around in underwear because it is “kind of an open door policy up there.”
