ReplyJill, wow. Getting one so quickly is remarkable. I wasn't even out of the fog in the first month. Good for you.I hope you rescued her-or vice versa? Our oldest is close to 7 now. I think he's the perfect age-mellow, lively and full of ____s and vinegar.

Chris, I love this story. We do have to love them with everything in us, as they do back at us. We are blessed to be living with them amongst us.
Mau...what a loving tribute. I have Jessie Mae's collar right here by my laptop. I miss her daily....and will love on mine just a little more each day. -

ReplyCricket, I love what your vet said. I just dread the day....it was worse for me losing Jessie Mae than it was for losing my parents. Thanks for your comment.

ReplyJimmy Hoffa, we would be happy to be your pet sitter to the stars! :-)
Perhaps they need to adopt some of their own friends. Lord knows there are plenty to go around who need good homes. -

ReplyJames, that's wonderful.Happy Maggie has a home to go to. A lot of people don't want to ask their friends or family for help. Our business is a wonderful alternative to kenneling. We have a ton of clients who say "I'm just tired of imposing upon my friends and family!"

Heather, good for you that you found a facility that you like. However, you know how much cats hate to go to the vet-same example. My humble opinion is animals are best left in their homes under the care of competent professionals. There is a tremendous amount of stress and anxiety in kennels, no matter how beautifully they pain the picture. Everything is new, unfamiliar and hard for them. They don't have their job to do-protecting their territory. Just my opinion. Best of luck!

ReplyDr. Jodie, I agree. While people feel its too expensive for in home pet care, they usually pay for it on the back end-with a trip to your office (not yours, per se, but to their vet) for a nasty infection, stress related illnesses and the like. Indeed, there is no place like home.
