Sounds like a lame excuse to go after people who aren't intoxicated. Wouldn't this create a lot of additional expense in legal challenges to questionable DUI cases?

How about they begin to take the severe repeat offenders seriously for a change instead of just putting them back behind the wheel many times and watching the wave of destruction build up? Is there no power or wealth to be gained by genuine prevention, but only through fines and enforcement actions?

I remember similar events more than 20 years ago. Although I took them seriously, I had made up my mind to live responsibly beforehand so it didn't change me. Many of the other members of my class who didn't care about responsibility did not take it seriously and went on to talk about how much fun they had with their underage drinking and driving escapades. So these events had no noticeable effect other than perhaps galvanizing everyone's pre-existing beliefs and behavior.

I can't seem to comment in detail without it being rejected, but I will say I think all parties involved have been fair and open-minded.

The basic premise with all the taxpayer-funded programs is to redistribute money from the intelligent, healthy, and productive to the vast majority of people in the opposite category. I'd have a fortune if I didn't pay for other people's dumb decisions over the last 20 years - but that's the way it will always be. I read that healthy single men will likely see health insurance premiums rise more than 40% due to health care reform, while the unhealthiest and oldest will likely see large savings - the magic of making the strong bear the burden and carry everyone else. The alternative would require cutting off the weak to reward the strong, and that's just never politically acceptable.

Blah, *absolve*. The mother who cares about possessing and controlling her child but shows a complete lack of actual caring for her child reminds me of at least one other woman I've met.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure you don't resolve yourself of responsibility as a child's legal guardian by abandoning him on a retail property.

It's surprising that a young child would be in good enough condition to move if he required two prescription medications that cost $75 after insurance benefits. The more expensive antibiotics wouldn't be that much.

Perhaps they can apply some civic restoration to the panhandlers from the ghetto that hit me up the last time I walked by the place - maybe dress them up in some made-in-China designer label clothes to better fit in with the neighborhood.

I've always wanted to ask: is baby formula composed of babies or is it just a recipe for creating babies?

I used it with a completely fake identity and throw-away email because of everyone at work and home telling me I just had to use it - never saw any value to it. There's nothing it does for which I don't already have better alternatives. If someone wants to know something about me they can figure it out or ask me nicely to my face and I'll do the same. Why broadcast your personal information worldwide to be archived forever? Facebook has made work easier for police many times, though, since its appeal to stupid people meshes nicely with the criminal population.

Thank you for that footnote, now I know it's only someone suspected of being a man. We will remain in suspense until such time as the suspect sheds light on the matter in the courtroom.
