Packers V. Titans Travel Advisory

The seats are shoveled clean in Lambeau, but road conditions may still be snow-covered, especially in construction zones. Here's a preview of what to expect on the way to Green Bay.

Sharing this release from our friends at the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) for those of you who are making the journey north to watch the Green Bay Packers tackle the Tennessee Titans. WisDOT Northeast Region in Green Bay is reminding motorists heading to Lambeau Field on Sunday, Dec. 23, for the Green Bay Packers/Tennessee Titans football game that some road construction continues on major roads in northeast Wisconsin. Packer Travel Advisory – Road Construction Update in Northeast Wisconsin

Traveling up to the game on Sunday? The Wisconsin Department of Transportation has a few advisories for you to consider.

From the desk of the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT): WisDOT is reminding motorists heading to Lambeau Field on Sunday, Oct. 28 for the Green Bay Packers / Jacksonville Jaguars football game that the road construction season continues on most major roads in Northeast Wisconsin. While most projects will stop and two lanes of traffic will be open, drivers might still encounter road conditions in the work zones that could cause backups. WisDOT strongly recommends motorists allow themselves additional time to reach their destinations. With Fall Here, Watch Out For Deer

Waukesha County is third in the state for the most vehicle-deer crashes, so motorists are again reminded to be aware as deer activity increases with the onset of fall.

October and November are the mating season for deer, and the animals are more active, especially at dusk and dawn when they move between their bedding and feeding areas. Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) officials advise drivers to be attentive and cautious, especially in the evening hours. A release from WisDOT cited reports from law enforcement last year, which recorded "a total of 16,947 deer versus motor vehicle crashes. Dane County had the most motor vehicle versus deer crashes reported in 2010 with 854. Shawano County had the second-most with 719 followed by Waukesha County with 687." WisDOT to Install New Lighting in Marquette Interchange; Lane Closure Expected This Week

The 'digital chevron' system installed will be a first in the state.

Commuters, take note: The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) will implement a new technology in the Marquette Interchange from the I-94 eastbound ramp to northbound I-43 in starting July 12. The installation will close the right lane on I-94 eastbound between the 13th Street exit and the connector ramp to I-43 northbound from July 12-15 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. While travel times may be longer, John Oimoen, manager with WisDOT, said the operation will ultimately improve operations and safety on our transportation network.” He also said “a new dynamic chevron system is a cost-effective way to help motorists stay alert and monitor their speeds in this area.” This system is the first of its kind in Wisconsin and WisDOT said benefits…
