The 58-year-old Waukesha man arrested following a four-hour standoff last week pulled out a gun when he demanded his wife make him a pillow cover, according to a criminal complaint.
A Waukesha man is accused of taking out a gun and threatening to shoot his wife after they argued about his demands to make him a pillowcase, according to a criminal complaint filed Monday in Waukesha County Circuit Court. Weeks later, the man was arrested following a standoff near Comanche Lane. Authorities couldn’t locate his wife at the time and police asked the public to help locate her. She was later found safe at a relative’s home in Waukesha. Kelly A. Shaw, 58, is charged with three domestic abuse-related misdemeanors: pointing a firearm at another person, and two counts of disorderly conduct with use of a dangerous weapon. A 48-year-old man was tasered after he refused to leave residence on Cedar Lane.
Update, 12:50 p.m., Monday.: The suspect who was taken into custody by police after an eight-hour standoff Sunday afternoon had threatened his soon-to-be ex-wife with an archery bow in Summit the day before, according to the police department’s call log. The woman was speaking with police during the incident and reported that the man had a history of suicide attempts and that he had two arrows in his possession Saturday night. The man was inside his father’s house at 1600 Cedar Lane, according to the call log, which has been listed as his address in past Waukesha County Circuit Court documents. Complaint states gun was located in Waukesha park.
A 17-year-old Waukesha teenager is facing charges for allegedly stealing a shotgun and other items out of a residence in the 100 block of West Broadway. Cruz E. Robles was charged in Waukesha County Circuit Court on Friday with one count of burglary while arming himself with a dangerous weapon. If convicted, he faces up to 15 years in prison and $50,000 in fines. According to the criminal complaint, on June 10, officers were called to a residence for a burglary complaint when the occupant of the dwelling came home to find his door unlocked and several items stolen from his apartment including a shotgun with “Zeke” carved into the wood pump. Police say suspect is a known gang member who fled from officers early Thursday afternoon.
Update, 5:21 p.m. Thursday: The Waukesha Police Department has arrested a suspect in a burglary that involved a shotgun being stolen, according to Waukesha Police Capt. Dennis Angle. The burglary was reported June 10 in the 100 block of West Broadway, Angle said, and police developed and confirmed the identity of the suspect. Police located that suspect at 12:43 p.m. Thursday in the 500 block of Lincoln Avenue, Angle said in a news release. The suspect lived in the 500 block of Lincoln Avenue, according to Angle.
