Waukesha County Beaches Opening With New Hours in June

All county beaches, including Minooka Park, will have new hours that start in June.

The beach at Minooka Park in Waukesha and other county beaches will open on Saturday, June 1 for the summer.  New beach hours are from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. everyday, with lifeguards on duty daily. County Park entrance fees are $4.00 daily. Beaches Will Open Early Tuesday, Wednesday

Waukesha County beaches will open at 10 a.m. because of heat and the Fourth of July holiday.

Tuesday’s forecast shows temperatures to be more than 90 degrees, so all six beaches in the Waukesha County Park System have extended their beach hours and will open at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, July 3. The beaches will also be open at 10 a.m. for the July 4 holiday on Wednesday. The following is a list of the beaches and where they are located: Normal beach hours are from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on weekdays and 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on weekends, with lifeguards on duty daily. County park entrance fees are $3 on weekdays and $5 on weekends/holidays. Beach usage is included in the park entrance fee. With temperatures expected to be in the 90s, area residents can get an early start on swimming.

County Beaches Won't Open Until After Monday's Hot Temps

Unfortunately, the beaches in Waukesha County won't be open for the steamy weather Monday. Read the details on when the local watering holes will open.

With temperatures forecast to hit 90 Monday for the second straight day, it would be nice to hit the local beach on a holiday day off from school and work. No such luck, because Waukesha County's beaches don't open until Saturday. The county's summer 2012 beach hours are 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on weekdays and 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on weekends, with lifeguards on duty daily. County Park entrance fees are $3 on weekdays and $5 on weekends and holidays.
