The Crusaders are going for their first WIAA state crown in football, taking on two-time state champion Waupaca.
Waukesha Catholic Memorial won four state championships under the old private-school division, but seeks its first among all comers against Waupaca at 10 a.m. Friday in Madison in the WIAA Division 3 state championship game. The Crusaders (10-2) defeated Mount Horeb/Barneveld 35-7 last Saturday to advance to Camp Randall. Crusaders beat Wisconsin Lutheran High School by a fourth-quarter field goal. The final score was 24-21.
Despite falling behind 14-0 to Wisconsin Lutheran, Catholic Memorial High School’s football team came back to win the game 24-21 after a fourth quarter field goal Friday night. The Crusaders are the only Waukesha team remaining in the playoffs. They’ve also beaten Brown Deer and Pewaukee high schools The win for the crusaders came on a last minute field goal, according to Twitter accounts.

Watertown and Waukesha West both showed their high-powered offenses during this chilly Saturday afternoon game.
Waukesha West High School's football season is over after the team lost 49-54 to Watertown High School in the second round of the WIAA playoffs. The first half was dominated by Waukesha West with a 33-14 halftime score, but Watertown closed the gap by the end of the third quarter Waukesha 42 - Watertown 40.

Catholic Memorial High School took an early lead in the first round of the playoff games over Brown Deer with a quick touchdown on its first possession Friday night. The Crusaders won the game 48-28, according to WisSports. Meanwhile, Waukesha West High School squeaked past Waterford High School to win 14-12.
