Upload a photo, leave a comment and tell us what (or who) has your heart this Valentine's Day.
Happy Valentine's Day! Take a moment or two and upload a photo of you and the object of your affection, no matter what it may be. I'll start things off with pictures of my children. I can't stop smiling at my 4-month-old daughter and 4-year-old son. She's a delightfully happy little girl whose smiles melt my heart, and he's showing me every day what a loving nature he has in how he wants to take care of her.
Students are following policies limiting in-school affection to hand-holding and hugs.
Everyone remembers the couples who were always together at break times, lunch and before and after school. The ones who were caught kissing in corners, and who walked the halls with their hands in each others' pockets. It seemed someone was always pushing the limits of acceptable public displays of affection. With Valentine's Day this week, Patch checked in to see what the prevailing trends are in some area high schools. The policies are fairly consistent across districts, with hand-holding and hugging allowed—but officials frowning upon much more than that. Greendale High School's policy is that students "shall not" engage in physical displays of affection inappropriate for a public setting. School personnel use their "professional …

If you are willing to engage in a small public show of affection, you can get a discount deal Tuesday at Qdoba restaurants. All Wisconsin stores are offering the Valentine's Day discount: Kiss someone while ordering an entree, and you get a second entree at half-price. The recipient of the kiss could be a friend, relative, significant other or "understanding stranger," the website says. But if you lived in any other state where Qdoba does business, you would do even better for the same buss. Only Wisconsin Qdoba stores are offering just 50 percent off a second entree deal. Elsewhere in the nation, the corporate promotion is being called "BOGO (Buy one, get one) For A Kiss," and that second entree is free. Is it just that Wisconsin folks …

Remember wanting that little trinket -- a homemade Valentine, a heart-shaped sucker, a carnation? Anything...it could have been a box of green beans for all you cared, but you just wanted someone to like you other than your parents.
Truth be told, I began chasing after boys in the first grade on the playground at the Homer Nash Kimball Elementary School in Madison, Ohio. One day after school, I burst through the door of my house, ran into the kitchen while my mother was cooking dinner and declared, "I caught one! I caught one!" I explained to her that "the one" was a boy named Shane and I had been chasing after him on the playground for at least two months. Finally, I had caught him, I said. After this matter of the heart had occurred, I was convinced that I was going marry this boy. He had already asked. We just needed our parents’ blessing and we would live in bliss in the tree house his parents were building for him. That bliss would include riding the teeter-…

Share your love story with the community this Valentine's Day!
I still remember the day I met my true love at age 22. The snow was swirling around in the air signaling the beginning of winter. I was shivering and freezing and I debated packing up and going home when a pair of piercing eyes looked at me. The eyes sucked me in and warmed down to my near-frostbitten toes. I couldn’t breath. I could barely say anything. He shook my hand. And just as quickly as he came, Aaron Rodgers disappeared into the swirling snowstorm at Lambeau Field. OK, so everyone knows my biggest celebrity crush is Aaron Rodgers. It’s been that way since I was 19 and he was drafted by the Packers at age 21. I’m still waiting for the day that I can take a picture with him. I’m going to go on record here saying that Aaron Rodgers …

Which of these three is the best place for a date in Waukesha?
Patch asked, and you answered, in comments on Facebook, stories and restaurant reviews. From our original field of restaurants, we've narrowed it down to three. People's Park is a popular spot, with a menu that includes appetizers like truffle-oil drizzled French fries, sandwiches and steak. Key Westconsinfeatures regional specialties, including fish fry, lobster rolls and other dishes from the east coast. Montecito Ristorante Lounge is a newcomer to Downtown Waukesha. The Italian restaurant opened in December 2011, in the space formerly home to El Ranchito.
