Locals Combine to Bring ‘Urinetown’
University of Wisconsin-Waukesha opens its musical comedy about a city where you even have to pay to pee.
Urinetown, a summer musical comedy, opens this Friday at University of Wisconsin-Waukesha and the cast is packed with local people. Urinetown, written by Mark Hollmann and Greg Kotis, opened on Broadway in September 2001. The comedy “depicts a world wracked by ecological disaster and corporate greed,” a news release from UW-Waukesha states. “In a Gotham-like city, a depletion of the earth's water supply has led to a government-enforced ban on private toilets.
