Complaint: Children Hit, Officer Attacked, Beer Stolen (and Returned)
A 30-year-old Waukesha man is accused of hitting a neighbor's 5- and 3-year-old children and fighting with police, according to a criminal complaint.
A Waukesha man is charged with child abuse and battery to a police officer after police say he struck a neighbor's 5- and 3-year-old children, then shoved and threatened officers who responded to the scene. The entire incident started with a stolen 12-pack of beer. Daniel G. Fife, 30, of Waukesha, was charged Tuesday with battery to a police officer, resisting an officer causing substantial bodily harm/soft tissue injury, two counts of child abuse and one count of resisting an officer. If convicted, Fife faces up to 12 years and nine months in prison. He remains jailed in lieu of $5,000 bail.
