Waukesha man living on White Rock Avenue punched, kicked and sexually assaulted woman at his apartment, criminal complaint alleges.
A 44-year-old Waukesha man is facing allegations that he spent the past week kicking, punching, fondling and sexually assaulting a woman he lived with in a White Rock Avenue apartment. Police were notified about a possible domestic disturbance on Friday by the Waukesha County Mental Health Department, which prompted the investigation at the apartment. Steven L. Wagner is charged with third-degree sexual assault-domestic abuse, felony intimidation of a victim-domestic abuse, two counts of fourth-degree sexual assault-domestic abuse and two counts of battery-domestic abuse. A failed Waukesha restaurateur is facing charges after he was accused of sexually assaulting a woman inside the bar and restaurant that was located in The Clarke Hotel. Ramon A. Mitre Hernandez, 30, of Waukesha, was charged in Waukesha County Circuit Court on Thursday with one count of second-degree sexual assault. If convicted, he faces up to 40 years in prison and $100,000 in fines. It isn't the first time the owner of D Mo's, which shut down in 2011 following legal and financial troubles for Hernandez. A 56-year-old Hartland man, who previously lived in Waukesha, is facing charges after he allegedly sexually assaulted a young girl inside a Waukesha home on multiple occasions in 2011. Wayne D. A Waukesha man accused of sexually assaulting a 13-year-old Muskego boy he met on a dating web site will proceed to trial. Daniel R. Schmidt, 21, waived his preliminary hearing Friday in Milwaukee County Circuit Court on one count of second-degree sexual assault of a child. Schmidt, who is free on $5,000 bail, went past reporters before and after the hearing without answering questions, but his attorney, Jonathan LaVoy, said he hopes to work out a resolution with prosecutors as the case proceeds. A Sussex woman accused of sexually assaulting a 13-year-old boy on several occasions last year was released from custody Wednesday on a $100,000 signature bond. Brittany Barcus, 24, made her initial appearance in Waukesha County Circuit Court on three counts of sexually assaulting a child under 16 years of age. Because she faces more than 100 years in prison if convicted, Court Commissioner Laura Lau said either a high cash bail or signature bond signed by both Barcus and a co-signer are needed.
