The funeral for Joshua Lang, of Hartland, will be held on Friday after he died from his injuries at Froedtert Hospital.
A 27-year-old Hartland man died from his injuries after hitting a Pewaukee police officer’s squad car with his motorcycle on Highway 16 at 9:58 a.m. Tuesday, according to a news release from the Waukesha County Sheriff’s Department. Joshua Lang was transported to Froedtert Hospital via Flight For Life. He was pronounced dead at 6:10 p.m. Tuesday. A visitation will be held from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Friday with the funeral service starting at 5 p.m. at St. Charles Catholic Church, 313 Circle Drive, Hartland, according to his obituary. Local high school is evacuated as authorities investigate a suspicious note.
The day after police alerted the community about rumors of a possible planned shooting at three Waukesha high school, Pewaukee High School has been evacuated after a threatening note was found in the school, according to the Lake Country Reporter. High school students have taken to Twitter about the threat at Pewaukee, calling it a bomb threat. But Pewaukee Police Chief Ed Baumann told the Lake Country Reporter he is “confident that all students at Pewaukee High School are safe.” Although the threat is being considered not credible, Pewaukee High School has canceled all evening activities, according to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. Authorities have limited information about the June 28 bank robbery on Capitol Drive.
If you know who robbed the PNC Bank at Capitol Drive and Highway 164 in Pewaukee on June 28, you could be eligible for a $25,000 reward. The reward is being offered by the Pewaukee Police Department and the FBI-Milwaukee Division as authorities continue to seek a lead in the bank robbery. A man and a woman were reportedly wearing ski masks and one person displayed a handgun during the robbery, according to Fox 6. They left in a green Chevy SUV, which was found on Swan Road in the City of Pewaukee.

A 27-year-old Waukesha man is facing charges under the Len Bias Law for the January death of a Pewaukee man. Ian Michael Jeske was charged in Milwaukee County Circuit Court Thursday with one count of first-degree reckless homicide for allegedly selling drugs that lead to the death of David A. Gapinski. If convicted, Jeske faces up to 40 years in prison and $100,000 in fines. According to the criminal complaint: On Jan. 6, Gapinski died of an overdose of Oxycodone inside a home in the 300 block of Morris Street in Pewaukee. A toxicology report on his body by the Waukesha County medical examiner’s office revealed the amount of the drug in his body was consistent with an 80-milligram tablet of Oxycodone.
