Obituary: Pedro L. “Pete” Cruz, Sr.
Waukesha man died Saturday at age 72.
Pedro L. “Pete” Cruz, Sr., of Waukesha, died on Saturday, Nov. 24, 2012, at Waukesha Memorial Hospital at the age of 72. He was born in Harlingen, Texas, on March 6, 1940, the son of Ricardo and Dorotea (nee Lerma) Cruz. Pete owned and operated Pete’s Place, Pete & Danny’s and the Cruz Club. While owner of Pete’s Place he sponsored softball teams and he enjoyed running a billards league in Waukesha. He was a member of the Waukesha Tavern League. He will be sadly missed by his son Pedro (Rose) Cruz, Jr. and his daughter Diana (Salvador) Martinez both of Waukesha, his grandchildren: Salvador, Jr., Antonio, Martin, Victoria and Marcos Martinez, and Gina, Daniel, Jr., Miranda, Dylan and Hayleh Cruz and his two great-grandchildren Yesenia and …
