Man Involved in Standoff Faces Numerous Charges

Nicholas J. Faby, 30, of Waukesha, faces up to 23 years in prison if convicted of choking his girlfriend before she shot him in the hand, according to a criminal complaint.

The 30-year-old Waukesha man who was arrested last week following a standoff with the Waukesha Police Department was shot in the hand by his girlfriend as he was choking her, according to a criminal complaint filed Monday. Nicholas J. Faby is charged with strangulation and suffocation; false imprisonment; possession of a firearm by a felon; pointing a firearm at another; possession of marijuana; and possession of drug paraphernalia. Officers responded to 717 Oak Ridge Court Wednesday morning after the woman escaped from the residence to a neighbor’s home, according to police and the criminal complaint.
