Family Searching for Missing Man in Milwaukee

Nick Wilcox, 24, disappeared early New Year's Day in downtown MIlwaukee while out with his girlfriend.

Family and friends are searching for a 24-year-old man who disappeared while out with his girlfriend ringing in the New Year in downtown Milwaukee. Nick Wilcox was last seen between 1 a.m. and 2 a.m. Tuesday outside the Irish Rec Room on Old World Third Street in downtown Milwaukee. Wilcox is 6-feet 2-inches tall and about 180 pounds. He was last seen wearing a dark grey shirt, dark jeans and black shoes. If anyone has information about his whereabouts, they are asked to call the Milwaukee Police Department at 414-935-7403. Wilcox’s girlfriend told Fox 6 Wilcox was seen by a bouncer leaving the bar with a man in a red shirt. Family and friends have been searching along the nearby river for Wilcox.

Milwaukee Polar Plunge: Are You Jumping in?

Brrrr. Are you’re one of the crazy ones who is taking the plunge on New Years Day? Are you running into a frigid Lake Michigan with hundreds of other adventurous Milwaukee area residents? The Polar Plunge begins at noon at Bradford Beach. The Polar Plunge website suggests plungers bring “loose fitting clothes to get into after you leave the water. Towels and wool blankets. Heating packs for your hands and feet. A sleeping bag is also highly recommended.” Patch wants to see your photos.
