Election Preview: Waukesha Common Council (1st District)

Incumbent Terry Thieme is taking on challenger Mark Meyers in the 1st District aldermanic election on April 2.

Voters in Waukesha's 1st Aldermanic District will head to the polls Aprl 2 to choose a new alderman. Alderman Terry Thieme is being challenged by Mark Myers in his re-election bid. (Click on link for biographical information on each candidate). To provide residents with the most information on where they stand on the issues facing the village, Waukesha Patch invited readers to submit questions that we posed to the candidates.  Here, in their own words, are the candidates' answers to those questions as well as some asked by Patch.

If the Great Lakes option for Waukesha is the best answer, why did the Common Council rush a severely flawed application to the DNR in the first place and then cry wolf about a supposed timeline to get the application approved by 7 other states? Primary Election Preview: Waukesha Common Council (1st District)

Two challengers are taking on incumbent Terry Thieme in the 1st District aldermanic race in the Feb. 19 primary election.

Voters in Waukesha's 1st Aldermanic District will head to the polls Feb. 19 to narrow down the field of candidates running for the Common Council. The top two voter-getters will advance to the April 2 general election. The candidates are incumbent Alderman Terry Thieme and challengers Mark Meyers and John Holst (Click on link for biographical information on each candidate). Thousands of dollars for a bike study? Really? John Holst is correct, and is the only one who is raising the common sense questions. We can do a better job investing our tax dollars. My vote will be for John Holst.   more ›
