Athletes from Waukesha high schools took the next step toward their college careers while signing commitment papers.
Dylan Chmura, a standout Waukesha West High School tight end, officially signed his papers to play football at Michigan State University next fall. Chmura is the son of Green Bay Packers Hall of Famer Mark Chmura. He is among nearly a dozen students from Waukesha high schools who signed their commitment papers to universities and colleges where they intend to continue competing following their high school graduation this fall. Brad Woodford officially committed to University of Minnesota where he is receiving a scholarship for 30 percent of tuition to run track and cross country. Brookfield bank files legal action against former Green Bay Packers tight end in Waukesha County Circuit Court.
Former Green Bay Packers tight end Mark Chmura is being sued for more than $700,000 after his business venture ran into trouble, according to a civil suit filed in Waukesha County Circuit Court. The lawsuit was filed this month by Securant Bank & Trust in Brookfield against Chmura’s company, BC Property Investments. The suit alleges that BC Property is in default on a business loan by $717,096. The bank is seeking the full payment, plus accruing interest from Sept. 26 until the final amount is paid. Chmura, of the Town of Genesee, filed for bankruptcy for his BC Pabst Holdings company in early 2012, along with fellow developers Sonny Bando and Matt Chmura, according to The Business Journal. Mark Chmura is defendant in $2.76 million lawsuit filed in Waukesha County Circuit Court.
A City of Pewaukee bank is suing a high-profile Milwaukee business man and former Green Bay Packers Tight End Mark Chmura in Waukesha County Circuit Court seeking $2.76 million in summary judgment, according to court documents filed Friday. The defendants being sued by InvestorsBank include the businessman Santino Bando, former Milwaukee Brewers player Salvatore Bando and Packers Hall of Famer and local radio personality Chmura. Santino Bando’s and Chmura’s spouses also are named in the lawsuit. The bank is claiming the individuals agreed to repay $2.599 million borrowed, but haven't done so. The Bandos and the Chmuras owe $143,000 in interest on the property, according to court documents filed by the bank. The case is set to go before …
