Pizza place and bar combines its two buildings.
Magellans, a pizza place and bar in downtown Waukesha, has knocked down the wall between its two buildings, creating one large open space for one bar. The wall separated Magellans and Magellans 2 on Main Street. With the wall gone, the two places are combined. The change, which was permitted by the city’s building inspector, will allow the bar/restaurant to expand by 12 tables and 30 chairs including indoor and outdoor seating, according to Magellans owner Dan Italiano. The wall came down last week and renovations are continuing. However, everything’s up and running for the Freeman Friday Night Live and Waukesha GuitarTown kick off this weekend.

With a few changes to request at committee level, the Waukesha Common Council will decide Aug. 4 if the bar can extend premises to Main Street for Freeman Friday Night Live.
Magellans, a bar and pizza place that sponsors a stage in downtown Waukesha for Freeman Friday Night Live, might be allowed to serve alcohol in the fenced in area near the stage in front of the building. It appeared that the request was going to again be denied the by the committee – it was not approved two weeks ago – but one alderman had a change of heart during the meeting after several business owners and …

Magellans won’t be allowed to have alcohol in fenced off area during Freeman Friday Night Live.
With a few quick votes, a request to allow alcohol in the tent on the street next to Magellans was shut down by the Waukesha Ordinance & License Committee Monday evening. If approved, the pizza place and bar would have been allowed to serve alcoholic beverages on the tented/fenced off area that is on West Main Street in front of its building. The hours would have been from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. Fridays from July 22 trough Aug. 19, which would correspond with Freeman Friday Night Live, where Magellans sponsors a stage for live music each week. Without asking for comment from anyone in the crowd – representatives from Magellan’s were not present – the council quickly moved to deny the extension of premises request. “I don’t feel like we need to …
