Obituary: LaVerne M. Peterson
Waukesha woman passed away Wednesday at age 83.
LaVerne M. Peterson, of Waukesha, was born to Eternal life on Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2013, at the age of 83. She was born in Chicago, IL on May 14, 1929 the daughter of Alex and Mary (nee Kucic) Vidra. She was a graduate of Lourdes High School in Chicago where she served as class President and was valedictorian. On May 14, 1949 she married Roy “Pete” Peterson. He preceded her in death on December 13, 2003. LaVerne loved to teach and taught 7th grade at St. Joseph School for many years. She was a past President of the Christian Mother’s at St. Joseph Catholic Church and at St. Paul Catholic Church where she has been a longtime and faithful member.
