Waukesha man, an Army veteran, dies at age 85.
J. Larry Burke, of Waukesha, passed away peacefully at Seasons Hospice surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, Jan. 20, 2013, at the age of 85 years. He was born on December 10, 1927 in Milwaukee, WI, the son of Edwin J. Burke, Sr. and Rose Mary (nee Werner) Burke. Larry was a proud U.S. Army veteran serving during the Korean Conflict. He worked at Vince Schneider Crane Service and retired from Dawes Rigging and Crane Rental after many years of service. Larry has been a 35-year member of Operating Engineers Local 139. Most of all he was an avid motor home traveler, golfer and enjoyed crosswords, playing cards and boating. Larry will be sadly missed by his wife, Arlene (nee Konrath); children, Timothy M.
