Reviving the American Dream Event to Reach Hispanic Voters

Faith-based organization bringing in former U.S. attorney general in efforts to educate Hispanic voters at event in Waukesha.

The Faith and Freedom Coalition is reaching out to Hispanic voters during an event from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday at Fox River Christian Church. Former U.S. Attorney General Alberto Gonzales will be a featured guest at the event. Census population figures estimate there could be up to a half million Hispanics in Wisconsin by 2020, said Jesse Garza, director of operations in Wisconsin for the Faith and Freedom Coalition. “The Hispanic vote is becoming more and more relevant to the country and to the state,” Garza said. The faith-based organization wants to start dialogue about issues among the Hispanic community.
