Man Accused of Sexually Assaulting Young Girl

Wayne D. Herbes, 56, is accused of taking naked pictures of the victim and touching her inappropriately on several occasions, according to a criminal complaint.

A 56-year-old Hartland man, who previously lived in Waukesha, is facing charges after he allegedly sexually assaulted a young girl inside a Waukesha home on multiple occasions in 2011. Wayne D. Herbes was charged in Waukesha County Circuit Court on Thursday with three count of first-degree sexual assault of a child less than 13 years old. If convicted, he faces up to 180 years in prison. According to the criminal complaint: An 8-year-old girl was interviewed by Waukesha police officers in December 2011, where she told them Herbes had assaulted her on several occasions in the summer of 2011 inside his home in the 1300 block of East North Avenue in Waukesha. Helping a Friend Ends in Drug Charges For Hartland Man

Suspect picks up a woman who police did not want driving, but officers discover he has three arrest warrants pending against him, according to criminal complaint.

A 26-year-old Hartland man is facing charges after he went to help a friend, who had been drinking in Waukesha, while he was carrying a prescription pill with him, according to a criminal complaint Avishek Sengupta was charged in Waukesha County Circuit Court this month with one count of possession of an illegally obtained prescription. If convicted, he faces up to six months in prison. According to the criminal complaint: At 1:49 a.m. March 24, a female friend of Sengupta was pulled over by Waukesha police officers near West Sunset Drive and South Prairie Avenue. The woman had a blood alcohol level of 0.067 percent and the officer was concerned about her driving, so he had her call a friend to drive her home. Sengupta arrived at the scene…

Sussex Sex Offender to Stand Trial on Child Enticement Charges

A Sussex man accused of trying to entice children in a Hartland park has been denied dismissal of four felony charges against him and is now bound over for trial. Waukesha County Court Commissioner Laura Lau ruled Wednesday that Dennis C. Marth, 50, will stand trial on allegations he walked up to young boys in Nixon Park in July and asked them where the railroad tracks were located and kept interacting with them. A convicted sex offender, Marth was drunk at the time and told police about his prior conviction. His attorney, Douglas Bihler, argued during the preliminary hearing that prosecutors didn’t show evidence of Marth trying to have sexual contact with the boys.
