Man Arrested on 5th OWI Charge

Police say a Waukesha man walks in front of a police officer drunk, then gets behind the wheel of a car registered to a person with a suspended driver's license, according to a criminal complaint.

A 37-year-old Waukesha man is accused of felony drunk driving after he got into a car registered to a person with an expired driver's license in front of a Waukesha police officer, according to a criminal complaint. Saul R. Ramos was charged in Waukesha County Circuit Court on Monday with one count of fifth offense operating while intoxicated. If convicted, he faces up to three years in prison and $10,000 in fines. According to the criminal complaint: At 1:35 a.m. Oct. 23, a Waukesha police officer was driving northbound on Grand Avenue near Wilson Avenue when he spotted Ramos walking on the sidewalk, then get into a car registered to a person with a suspended driver's license.
