Family Dollar Robbed at Gunpoint

Man with a handgun makes off with undisclosed amount of cash.

The Waukesha Police Department is looking for a suspect after Family Dollar, 139 E. Broadway, was robbed at gunpoint, according to the Waukesha Police Department. The store was robbed at 6:50 p.m. Wednesday by an unknown man with a handgun. The suspect fled with an undisclosed amount of money. No one was injured in the incident, according to Police Sgt. Joe Hendricks. Hendricks provided the following information about the robbery: Officers searched the surrounding area with the assistance of a Waukesha County Sheriff K-9 unit but did not locate the suspect.  Anyone with information in regards to this incident should call 262-524-3831. Man Charged After Asking for Manager's 'Papers'

Suspect makes issues at Family Dollar before he's arrested at his home, according to criminal complaint.

A Waukesha man is facing charges alleging he walked into a store and began knocking items to the ground before demanding to see the “papers” of a Hispanic manager, according to a criminal complaint. Robert C. Ballogh, 41, was charged in Waukesha County Circuit Court last week with one count of disorderly conduct and one count of bail jumping. If convicted, he faces up to one year in prison and $11,000 in fines. According to the criminal complaint: On Feb. 19, Ballogh went to Family Dollar, 139 E. Broadway, and knocked items down, breaking several of them.
