Dunkin' Donuts Moves Forward With Sunset Drive Location

Town of Waukesha approves the new business with a drive-through window.

Dunkin’ Donuts will be allowed to open on Sunset Drive in the Town of Waukesha with a drive-through window, the Town Board decided Thursday night. A condition of the approval is to ensure Waukesha County officials do not have any restrictions on the drive-through window, according to Town of Waukesha Clerk/Treasurer Jamie Salentine. Dunkin’ Donuts will open at S30W24836 Sunset Drive. The 5,040 square foot building would house up to four retail tenants. The plans do not state what tenants would be located in the building, besides Dunkin’ Donuts. The Sunset Drive Dunkin’ Donuts will be the second to open in Waukesha recently. Dunkin’ Donuts opened on North Grandview Boulevard in October. Milwaukee Coffee Brewing Co. (MCB) plans to open 36 …

Interestingly enough, the footprint plans of DD is the same as Bistro. DD will encroach on St Vinnys parking, especially IF they fill it out with other tenants. BIstro strip mall actually owns a large portion across the boulevard specifically for parking, which the drive thru will go right thru. The bistro is such a unique spot, I will contine to frequent them.   more ›

Dunkin' Donuts Proposal Stalls in Town of Waukesha

Dunkin' Donuts is planning a retail development on Sunset Drive in the Town of Waukesha.

Will Dunkin’ Donuts be allowed to open on Sunset Drive in the Town of Waukesha with a drive through? It’s an unknown still. The Town of Waukesha Board of Supervisors delayed taking any action on the Dunkin’ Donuts conditional use permit Thursday night, according to Waukesha Now. Among issues were traffic and safety worries, according to the article. Jim Radke, owner of Le Caffe’ Bistro near the proposed Dunkin’ Donuts site, told Waukesha Patch last week that he hoped the town board would be fair when reviewing the Dunkin’ Donuts proposal since his small business was denied a drive through on safety and traffic concerns. Dunkin’ Donuts with a drive through is proposed for S30W24836 Sunset Drive. The 5,040 square foot building would house up…

Yes, 2 driveways off Prairie. One is strictly a truck entrance, now for donations. That one is not feasable for the new complex. Have to snake around the back of the old shopping center. The other is for St Vinnys. Yes, could be used, but the way the new lot is constructed, it is a maze to get thru. So now a new drive is proposed, way too close to the controlled intersection on Prairie. And lets …   more ›

Sunset Drive Dunkin' Donuts: Worries for Some, Excitement for Others

Owner of Le Caffe' Bistro questions if the Town of Waukesha should approve a drive through for Dunkin' Donuts when the independent coffee shop was denied a similar request.

While many people are excited about the possibility of Dunkin’ Donuts coming to Sunset Drive, others have questions they’d like answered before the Town of Waukesha Plan Commission approves the project. Plans for Dunkin’ Donuts call for up to four retail spaces at the property along Sunset Drive. Impacts to St. Vincent’s De Paul and Le Caffe’ Bistro are among concerns raised by Waukesha Patch readers. Le Caffe’ Bistro is an independently owned coffee shop in the Town of Waukesha that will be adjacent to Dunkin’ Donuts. The request from Dunkin’ Donuts includes plans for a drive through. And that’s throwing a red flag for the owners of Le Caffe’ Bistro. Jim Radke, an owner of the coffee shop, said Le Caffe’ Bistro previously sought a drive …

Dunkin' Donuts Opening Tuesday in Waukesha

Restaurant on North Grandview Boulevard will include a drive through.

A Dunkin’ Donuts with a drive through is opening in Waukesha on Tuesday. The restaurant will be located at 2450 N. Grandview Blvd. in the same shopping center as Snap Fitness and Topper’s Pizza. A voice message left with Dunkin’ Donut’s public relations department was not returned to Waukesha Patch, but a sign on the door states Dunkin’ Donuts is opening on Tuesday. A banner outside the Waukesha Dunkin' Donuts location states the business is hiring employees. The closest Dunkin’ Donuts to Waukesha is in Menomonee Falls. Milwaukee Coffee Brewing Co. (MCB) plans to open 36 Dunkin’ Donuts locations throughout southeast Wisconsin in the next few years, according to Menomonee Falls Patch.
