Obituary: Doris G. Scarce
Caledonia woman, 90, was a member of Waukesha VFW Post No. 721 for over 65 years.
Doris G. Scarce, of Caledonia, formerly of Waukesha, surrounded by family, died on Saturday, Dec. 8, 2012, at age 90, when the Lord opened His gates she heard His voice. He called her name and led her home. She was born in Waukesha on July 15, 1922, the daughter of Herman and Ellen Bartelt. On June 23, 1958, she married Eugene P. Scarce. Doris was an active member of Our Lord’s United Methodist Church for many years and Raymond Community Church later in life. She was also a member of the VFW Post No. 721 in Waukesha for over 65 years. She worked as a neighborhood cosmetician at South Side Pharmacy, and Phillips Pharmacy in Waukesha and Elm Grove. In retirement she worked at K-mart in New Berlin and Waukesha for more than 10 years. …
