Waukesha man passes away after three-year battle with cancer.
David L. Idleman peacefully passed away at his home, surrounded by his family, on Feb. 20, 2013, after a courageous three-year battle with esophageal cancer. David was born on Sep. 1, 1952, in Van Nuys, California to James and Ellen (nee Jensen) Idleman and was the youngest of six children. He is a graduate of Simi Valley High School. In 1971, David moved to Waukesha, Wisconsin where he worked as a cook for Dutchland Dairy, BC Junior’s, Rick’s on Broadway and Jennifer’s, ironically, with the changing of names and hands, the building stayed the same. After David left Jennifer’s, he worked as a janitor at the YMCA, then as a cook at Cooper Power Systems. From there David went to Hardee’s, first in Waukesha, then in Hartland. When Hardee’s …
