Fittingly, Gokey was at Wisconsin Vision, 2005 Silvernail Road in Waukesha, on Monday afternoon to celebrate the launch of his new line of eyewear, the Gokey collection. While in town, he shared his plans for the upcoming year. PHOTOS: Christmas Parade in Downtown Waukesha

Music, Christmas lights, holiday decorations, gingerbread, candy canes, Danny Gokey and Santa Claus participated in the 49th annual Christmas parade.

The 49th annual Christmas parade was sponsored the Blood Center of Wisconsin and was made possible through support from the City of Waukesha and the Waukesha Business Improvement District. The theme for this year’s parade was Candy Canes on Main and all parade units were asked to, in some way, reflect either the parade’s theme or the holiday season.

Danny Gokey Among Attractions at Waukesha Holiday Parade

Wisconsin’s Danny Gokey, who took third place in the 2009 season of American Idol, will be appearing in the Christmas parade in downtown Waukesha, which starts at 4 p.m. Gokey’s appearance is sponsored by Wisconsin Vision, according to a news release from the Waukesha Business Improvement District.
