Editor's Note: Charlie Werner, a Catholic Memorial High School student received the most nominations when Waukesha Patch asked for Person of the Year submissions. We profiled Charlie last spring, so we are sharing why Charlie was nominated for the Person of the Year column on Patch and then reprinting the original story about Charlie. Charlie's courageous journey to overcome a serious leg problem was an inspiration to all of his CMH Classmates. Over 20 students at CMH nominated him for the award.
