Waukesha woman dies at age 86.
Carol J. Komberec, of Waukesha, died on Friday, Jan. 11, 2013, at Brookfield Rehab & Specialty Care at the age of 86 years. She was born in Waukesha on Oct. 31, 1926, the daughter of Max and Esther (nee Dabel) Gunther. Carol was a respected businesswoman who worked as an executive assistant at Quarles & Brady and at the Lutheran Home. Carol was always very fashionable and enjoyed playing cards, socializing, playing the organ, singing and spending time with her beloved Shih-tzus Peppercorn and Kadie Ann. Carol was a faithful Christian and was a longtime member of Grace Ev. Lutheran Church where she sang in the church choir.
