Beer-Drinking Thieves Return Stolen Truck, Police Say

Two Waukesha 20-year-olds face up to 8-1/4 years in prison if convicted of burglary and joy riding after they were charged with breaking into a Waukesha business.

Two Waukesha men are accused of breaking into Parts Hut, 735 Pleasant St., drinking beer in a cooler, stealing items from the business, taking the business’  truck to transport the stolen items before returning the truck. Dakota M. Cournia and Matthew E.D. McClain, both 20, were charged Wednesday in Waukesha County Circuit Court with burglary and joyriding – both charges as a party to a crime. They each face up to 8-1/4 years in prison and $35,000 in fines. Waukesha police officers responded to a report of a burglary on Oct. 1 after unknown people entered Parts Hut, breaking a window with a rock and stealing items from the business, according to the criminal complaint. Former Waukesha Man Charged With Burglary, Theft by Contractor [UPDATED]

A former Waukesha man already charged with burglarizing the Pewaukee Starbucks where he was employed was charged with burglarizing a Waukesha residence on Thursday. Daniel A. Groth, 39, of Oshkosh was charged Monday in Waukesha County Circuit Court with burglary and two counts of felony bail jumping. If convicted, he faces up to 13-1/2 years initial confinement in prison and $45,000 in fines. Burglar Came In Through The Bedroom Window

Waukesha man, 19, adds a felony charge to injury after looting a home for some cash and drugs, according to a criminal complaint.

A theft of a Waukesha home reportedly resulted in a victim’s shattered bedroom window, under $100 in cash and a few bags of marijuana stolen and a suspect’s bloodied hand. According to the complaint: The suspect, Dustin Biersack, 19, of Waukesha, and a friend drove to the home of the victim, with whom he had an earlier disagreement, on the night of March 23 with the intent to steal a safe. While the friend waited in the car, Biersack smashed the bedroom window, entered the home and returned to the vehicle with the safe. The friend said in the report that he was the one who told Biersack that the victim had a safe in his room with cash and marijuana in it. Brothers Charged in String of Waukesha Thefts

Three teenagers caught entering a garage on North Greenfield Avenue after an alert neighbor contacted police about suspicious behavior, according to a criminal complaint.

Two brothers are accused of stealing items from five different Waukesha residences in December before an alert neighbor contacted police, according to a criminal complaint. Travis A. Rehberg, 18, of Waukesha, and Tyler J. Rehberg, 19, of New Berlin, were charged Wednesday with burglary, four misdemeanor counts of theft, and obstructing an officer. If convicted, they both face up to 11-1/4 years in prison and $75,000 in fines. According to the complaint: A woman reported at 1:11 a.m. Dec. 7 that she spotted three individuals trying to get into her garage. Where are you getting this kid stuff from? I read that the two brothers are 18 and 19, that makes them adults. I am sure they will get a slap on the wrist and move up to bigger crimes in the future. $100K Possible Damage Reported in Gas Station Burglary

A Sussex man and a Colgate man are charged with breaking into a Waukesha gas station.

The two men accused of burglarizing Hop It Market, 1610 Lincoln Ave., possibly caused $100,000 in damage when they pulled the fire alarm, according to a criminal complaint. Marcel A. Bois, 29, of Sussex, and Michael J. Demont, 25, of Colgate, were each charged with burglary and felony criminal damage to property. Bois also faces a misdemeanor bail jumping charge. According to the criminal complaint: Via remote cameras, the gas station’s owner saw two individuals with black ski masks trying to access the safe at 4:05 a.m. Wednesday. Two Stole Copper From Foreclosed Tavern, Charges Say

Brookfield man and Waukesha man were caught by a Big Bend police officer while trying to take copper out of the former Coach House Tavern, charges allege.

A Brookfield man and Waukesha man are accused of breaking into a foreclosed Big Bend restaurant so they could steal copper pipes out of an upstairs apartment. Brad R. Market, 23, of Brookfield, and Shane A. Searl, 31, of Waukesha, were charged in Waukesha County Circuit Court Tuesday with one count of burglary. If convicted, they each face up to 7 1/2 years in prison and $25,000 in fines. According to the criminal complaint: On Nov. 2, a Big Bend police officer was performing a business check on the former Coach House Bar, W233 S7260 Vernon Lane, where a car was in the parking lot and a dim light was coming from an upstairs apartment. A man is facing charges after police say he broke into his neighbor's apartment and stole box set of DVDs from the classic movie, jewelry and more.

Fellows, 31, of Waukesha, is charged with one count of burglary and one count of possession of a controlled substance after he authorities say he broke into his neighbor’s apartment and stole a “Godfather” DVD box set, Kindle Fire and $2,400 in jewelry. If convicted, he faces up to 12 years and seven months in prison, and $25,500 in fines. Man Charged With Breaking into Ex's Home, Stealing Checks

The suspect, a 41-year-old Waukesha man, admits to crimes, but says he didn't steal checks during the burglary, according to a criminal complaint.

A 41-year-old Waukesha man is facing charges after he allegedly broke into his ex-girlfriend’s house and stole her mother’s checks. Darrell D. Schmidt was charged in Waukesha County Circuit Court on Friday with one count of burglary, two counts of identity theft and two counts of uttering a forgery. If convicted, he faces up to 36-½ years in prison and $65,000 in fines. No, really. The woman, who lives in the 300 block of West College Avenue, contacted police at 7:26 p.m. Monday to report that someone had “dumped a huge pile of dead fish in her garden,” according to the police department’s call log. It wasn’t the only suspicious activity at the woman’s house, though. She told dispatchers her tulips were stolen a few days ago. Police checked out the area and found several small fish that were dumped in the flower bed. The fish appeared to be leftover bait that was dumped in the garden. Police re-assured the …

A Waukesha woman set out for a challenge and adventure is finding herself in trouble after she was caught burglarizing a Waukesha home when the owner came home in the act, according to a criminal complaint. Natasha J. Korns, 37, was charged in Waukesha County Circuit Court on Friday with one count of burglary and one count of possession of burglarious tools.
