The Public Works Department is home to the Engineering Department, Wastewater Treatment Plant, Municipal Garage,More Waukesha Metro Transit and Parking Utility. The Public Works Department clears the roads from snow and ice in the winter, fills potholes in the spring and summer and is responsible for leaf collection in the fall. The current director is Fred Abadi.

The City of Waukesha's Metro transit terminal is located along the Fox River on St. Paul Avenue. Along with standardMore bus services to the facility, passengers can enjoy a sparkling terminal with information services and public restrooms.

Metro routes 1-9, 15 and 16 operate from the center, as well as Wisconsin Coach lines route 901. Each bay is clearly marked with an electronic sign stating the route for passenger's convenience.

Appointed with art sculptures near the front entryway and inside, the center is an inviting place for travelers. Additional parking is also provided at the center with a two-story structure.
