Parents ruin sports..

Alan I agree. Parents coach to get their kids and kids friends a leg up. Kids are choosen too basedRead More on parents and kids being friends. Take AAU and All-Stars and positions in each sport. Parents coach because they want their kid in prime positions, kids are friends with certain kids or because a family does not like someone but the kid has talent not playing. You need "out of area" coaches to come and determine if a kid is "that good" to be at the next level not "locals" whom coach because that is the only way the kid will get playing time.

I'm not huge into baseball but the Cards are much more of a rival than the Cubs. Everything in ILRead More stinks and is a joke, the Cubbies haven't been rivals for years.

As always in baseball---it is about pitching after the All-star break. The Brewers have a longRead More history of having arms fail. This year is already showing signs of issues...and its early.

I'll keep that in mind, seriously. I know my wife and I won't be going and my brother, who getsRead More first dibs when I don't, lives in Chicago and is unlikely to take them. I'll let you know what happens.

Looks like the new owners have a 200 million dollar building coming. Unless they can raise a fewRead More more donations. (not extortions)

This couldn't possibly have worked out better. All the publicity about congestion resulted in aRead More bunch of people leaving early, so that by the time we got up there (leaving at our usual time), 172 was moving at full speed, and after exiting we got to our usual parking place in about 15 minutes. I've never had an easier commute to (and from) a GB game at Lambeau. First time in the new seats in the South End. An amazing improvement over sitting on aluminum benches constantly jockeying for a reasonable amount of space. Bathrooms and concessions just yards away with no lines at any point in the game. Packers kicking the Lions behinds made it a perfect day. Best Gold Ticket game ever, from my POV.

I think we need to take a very close look at MVP Aaron Rogers. He and Braun have become closeRead More friends, and business partners. It is no doubt that they must hang out together. I would find it very difficult to believe that Ryan did not tell Aaron anything about his use of PEDs. This would pass the label of liar onto Aaron as well; therefore is an integrity issue at minimum (for Mr. Rogers). I want to know if it is deeper than that; is Mr. Rogers using PEDs as well? In the meantime; I will wait for Ryan Braun to present a detailed confession and apology to his longtime fans, including the younger kids that have been cheering him on. May God help him through this; as the "load" is not yet off his shoulders.
