The Prairie Home Cemetery is a 150-year-old public cemetery owned by the City of Waukesha. The cemetery is expansive and lined beautifully with trees, with a non-denominational chapel on-site.  The cemetery offers several burial gardens, including a pet memorial garden, a cremation resting place and a children's memorial garden.  It also offers an alternative "natural" burial option. A variety of payment plans are available, including no-interest payment plans. The office staff provides historical research services to those relatives interested in building family trees.
