Volunteer Opportunities With United Way of Waukesha County

Want to give back? From assisting with bulk mailings and fostering animals, there are plenty of ways to help the community.

Assist with Bulk Mailings
Help Waukesha Health and Human Services with bulk mailing projects once a month. Volunteers will work as a team to stuff envelopes and ensure that all addresses are legible. Dates and times for the remaining year are Nov. 10 and Dec. 12 from 9 a.m. to noon.

Be an Animal Foster Home
Have a love for animals and space in your heart? Elmbrook Humane Society is in need of foster homes for a variety of animals. Foster homes are especially needed for kittens that need feeding and/or shy dogs that need socialization. Start up supplies, training, and support is provided by staff.

Facilitator Assistant with Adult and Child Groups
Be the support staff to facilitators of adult parenting classes or co-facilitate children’s classes at Parents Place. Help collect data in adult classes or assist in class management with children. Classes are held Monday thru Thursdays between 5 p.m. and 8 p.m.

Supportive Companion Needed
Warm the hearts of residents living with or affected by HIV/AIDS at Richard’s Place, a group home in Waukesha, by providing companionship. Visit, play games, make crafts, and go on walks with residents. If you have any free time and would like to meet new people, call today!
