United Way in Waukesha County 2010 Campaign Falls Short of Goals

Organization announces a 3.4 percent reduction in donations compared to 2009 levels.

The United Way in Waukesha County  is projecting that it will have a 3.4 percent decrease compared to 2009 levels as it anticipates final totals to be $4,090,947 in 2010.

That means the 2010 campaign did not reach its fundraising goals of $4.3 million, according to a news release

“Our decline is due to losses within our major employer campaigns, which is not surprising considering that the economic climate is still slow to recover,” said Jayne Thoma, executive director of United Way in Waukesha County, in the release. “… While we experienced some losses this year, we are encouraged by the number of employee and corporate campaigns that achieved increases.

“More than 160 organizations demonstrated their commitment to our community by producing an increase within their 2010 campaign.”

  • Dresser Waukesha
  • FedEx SmartPost
  • HUSCO International
  • Landmark Credit Union
  • Marshall & Ilsley Corporation
  • M3 Insurance Solutions
  • PNC
  • US Bank
  • Walter U.S.A.
