Salvation Army Bell Ringing Exceeds Goal

Donations up 6 percent from last year.

As the has concluded its 2011 holiday bell ringing campaign, the organization announced Thursday that it had exceeded its bell ringing goals.

The total money raised to date is $417,033.32, 4.25 percent above its goal of $400,000, according to an e-mail from Major Carol Lemirand.

“This will impact positively on the loss of grants and UW allocation uncertainty,” Lemirand said in the e-mail.
