Area Organizations Need Volunteers

The following volunteer opportunities are provided by the United Way in Waukesha County.

Spring Break Feed the Kids: Salvation Army
We have a great opportunity for families and kids home for spring break. Volunteer to help Waukesha children in our Feed the Kids Program! Prepare and deliver more than 100 sack lunches a day. Volunteers must be a minimum age requirement is 13 years, younger with adult supervision. We are looking for families or kids in high school, middle school or elementary school. The Dates are April 10-12 from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Big Brother or Big Sister Volunteer: Big Brothers Big Sisters of Metro Milwaukee
Share time with a child in a one-on-one mentoring friendship and be a part of positive change in the community. Hang out and do simple, fun things together. Volunteers see the child they are matched with three to four times a month. Volunteers must be at least 21 years old and have a high school degree or equivalency.

Retreat Assistance: TYME OUT Youth Ministry and Retreat Center
TYME OUT Youth Ministry, a retreat center for teens, is in need of volunteer help to assist our retreat directors in preparation for retreats. Come be a part of a community dedicated to offering teens a faith-filled environment for growth! An ideal volunteer would be available once a week for up to four hours. Volunteers must be at least 18 years of age.

Minor Home Repairs: Interfaith Senior Programs
Help a neighbor to remain independent in their home by helping out with small minor repairs around the home or yard. Handy person needed to make minor home repairs, change light bulbs, fix plumbing, etc. Dates and times are flexible, based on the client's schedule. Volunteers must be a minimum of 18 years of age.
