Waukesha Walks for Charity in April

I share three charity walks that will take place in Waukesha during April.

Spring is coming or atleast I hope it is.  So, lets look at some fun walks that will take place in the month of April in Waukesha.

1.  Third Annual Strive to thrive Run/walk

They will have a youth run, 5K run and walk followed by a health fair.  The health fair will be open to the public.  The funds that will be collected through the fee to participate in the walk will go to the Waukesha Education Foundation.

2.  Waukesha Crop Walk

April 27th

Frame Park in Waukesha

The course is 1.7 miles.  If you can't walk the course, you can bring a rocker and rock for the duration of the walk.  The participants are asked to fundraise for the walk but are not required to pay a fee to walk.  While some of the money goes to the Food Pantry of Waukesha County (25%), some of the money goes to Church World Service or some other approved charity selected by the walker.

3.   WalkMS

April 28th

Waukesha South High School

The course length is 3.2 miles and supports people struggling with Multiple Sclerosis.  Ironically, I met a lady with MS at the Bloood Center of Wisconsin a few days after I started working on this post.
