HO HO HO and MERRY MERRY: Decorating So Jolly

Time for the stockings to be hung by the chimney with care but wait, I’ll do it myself since Grandpa the jolly old elf could be found nowhere. Decorated with antique crayon boxes, Santa figures and mistletoe – the mantle looks really festive, if I say so. Speaking of which, note to self: next year, nail up the Christmas stockings before decorating the mantle.
So with a twinkle in my eye and a laugh so merry, I searched and searched and found the jolly old elf napping with dreams of sugar cookies making him smile. “Wake up, wake up, Grandpa,” I hollered, “it’s time to put up the living room tree.” So we put up the tree, and then the lights...it took us only two days. Not bad, except it still needs ornaments. Now I’m taking a nice winter’s nap before I send the jolly old elf off find the ornament boxes.
