With wins Saturday in the sectional finals, Waukesha West and Catholic Memorial are both on their way to the WIAA State Soccer Tournament this week.

The Waukesha West and Catholic Memorial girls soccer teams both are headed to the WIAA State Tournament after picking up wins on Saturday in sectional final games.

West defeated Kettle Moraine, 2-1, when Katie Grall scored a goal to break a 1-1 tie at 72:10, according to JSOnline. Caroline Remmers earned an assist on the game-winner. The trip to the state tournament is nothing new for Catholic Memorial, which is aiming for its ninth state championship. Carina Krausert scored the team's first goal in the 2-1 victory over Grafton, while Emily Cervantes knocked in the second for the undefeated Crusaders, according to WisSports.net.

Waukesha West will play Middleton at 5 p.m. Thursday in the quarterfinal of the Division 1 state tournament, and Catholic Memorial will take on Ashland in a Division 2 semifinal game at 3 p.m. Friday. Both games will be played at the Uihlein Soccer Park in Milwaukee.
