Waukesha South's Isaiah Pitchford Nominated for Player of the Week

Voting continues for Waukesha South running back until 4 p.m. Thursday.

Waukesha South High School running back Isaiah Pitchford has been nominated as the WisSports player of the week. Voting continues until 4 p.m. Thursday and people can vote once a day from different devices.

Here is what WisSports wrote about Pitchford's performance on Friday in the Blackshirts win over Muskego:

"Waukesha South is off to a bit of a surprising 3-0 start to the season, and on Friday night scored one of the most impressive victories the program has had in several years. Traveling to Muskego, the Blackshirts were down 14-6 with just over 9 minutes left in the game when a blitz of scoring began. Behind two rushing touchdowns from Pitchford, South found themselves tied 28-28 with just seconds remaining. Pitchford then booted the game-winning 34-yard field goal with three seconds left to give South a 31-28 win. He finished the game with 25 carries for 165 yards and 3 touchdowns on the ground."

Pitchford is currently a handful of votes behind another nominee, Ricky Williams, from Edgerton High School.
