South/Mukwonago Wins State Swimming Championships

The Blackshirts beat Arrowhead High School by just six points to secure the state championship title.

The Waukesha South/Mukwonago girls swim team took home a state championship title this weekend.

The Blackshirts beat second-place team Arrowhead High School by six points with a final score of 279-273.

The Blackshirts beat Arrowhead by two points in 2011, according to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.

In the 200-yard and 100-yard freestyle, Abby Jagdfeld took first place with Molly Manchon placing second. Kaersten Meitz took first in the 500-yard freestyle with Natalie Clausen taking third.The team took third in the 200-yard and first in the 400-yard freestyle relay with Jagdfeld, Manchon, Meitz and Alicia Beam.
