South Athletes Give Back Through Community Projects

How did Waukesha South athletes contribute in Waukesha? Here's an update on their recent community service projects.

Each season, Waukesha South High School athletes participate in volunteer projects throughout the community as a way to give back to Waukesha.

The spring athletes have concluded a variety of service projects, according to Athletic Director Dan Domach.

Boys Golf

The Boys Golf team helped raise money for the MACC Fund for the Lake Country Charity Invite.  In addition, they vacuumed, washed the upholstery, windows and dashboards of our two school vans.  

Softball
The Softball team volunteered to help with the planting of the trees/flowers/plants on Saturday, May 18, at Waukesha South in our new garden and outside classroom.

Girls Track

The Girls Track team took time to clean up around the Waukesha South Campus.  They also have been having a group of girl's volunteer  with the YMCA's Youth Track and Field club.  

Boys Track
This is the 5th year that our boys track team has worked with Virginia Health Care. They cleaned out debris and weeds in their garden area, brought outdoor furnishings out of storage, and placed new wood chips throughout the complex.

Boys Tennis
The boys tennis program volunteered to clean up at Woyahn Tennis Complex and Heyer Park.
