Round 3: Catholic Memorial Faces Wisconsin Lutheran in WIAA Football Playoffs

The Crusaders shutout Pewaukee High School while Houston Texans defensive end J.J. Watt watched on field.

Catholic Memorial High School is back on the road Friday as the Crusaders football team competes in the third round of the WIAA playoffs.

The Crusaders shutout Pewaukee High School 21-0 Friday night. They travel to Wisconsin Lutheran High School, 330 N. Glenview Ave., Milwaukee, to compete in the Division 3 playoff game at 7 p.m. Friday.

Catholic Memorial fell to Pewaukee in the playoffs in 2011.

Catholic Memorial is the only Waukesha high school left competing. Waukesha West High School fell during a high-scoring game against Watertown High School on Saturday.

Did You See Who Was on the Field?

Meanwhile, Houston Texans’ J.J. Watt was on the field Friday watching younger brother, T.J. Watt, play for Pewaukee. J.J. Watt declined to give an official interview with Waukesha Patch because the game was about his brother. However, he did say the Green Bay Packers did a great job when they destroyed the Texans two weeks ago.

T.J. Watt will play for the Wisconsin Badgers – the same college team of older brothers J.J. and Derek Watt.
