The University of Wisconsin-Waukesha awarded 116 associate degrees at its spring Honors & Degree ceremony May 23.

Dean/CEO Harry Muir said 2012-13 was another banner academic year for UW-Waukesha and its graduates.

"Last year's record number of graduates, 219, coupled with this year's more than 200 demonstrates the commitment of our students, faculty and staff to come to UW-Waukesha and achieve their educational and career goals," he said. "More families are realizing the benefits of completing their first two years atWaukesha. UW-Waukesha is becoming the first choice of many community members as a higher education learning provider."

Students must earn at least 60 college credits in five different areas and maintain a cumulative 2.0 grade point average (on a scale of 4.0) to qualify for a degree. UW-Waukesha confers Associate of Arts & Science degrees and prepares students to transfer to a baccalaureate institution for a bachelor's degree.
