When it comes to the number of suspensions given at Waukesha high schools, which school was the worst offender in 2011-12?

All three high schools in Waukesha’s suspension rates are above the state average. Statewide, 5.21 percent of students were suspended at least once during the year. This is the lowest percentage since data was kept beginning in 1998-99, and the figure has dropped five consecutive years.

  • Waukesha South; 74 suspensions, 6.5 percent of students
  • Waukesha North; 71 suspensions, 6.13 percent of students
  • Waukesha West; 76 suspensions, 6.05 percent of students

The 10th grade class at Waukesha West High School were the worst offenders in Waukesha high schools in 2011-12, according to the Department of Public Instruction information. Thirty-eight students were suspended, accounting for 12.5 percent of the students enrolled in that grade level.
