Waukesha Students Receive 2011 Herb Kohl Foundation Excellence Scholarships

Students awarded $1,000 scholarships.

Three students who attend Waukesha high schools are receiving the 2011 Herb Kohl Foundation excellence scholarships.

The students are

  • Troy Laedtke, of Brookfield, who attends Waukesha North High School.
  • Rebecca Morgan, of Waukesha, who attends Waukesha South High School.
  • Julie Mullen, of Waukesha, who attends Waukesha North High School.

“Excellence scholarship recipients have demonstrated excellence in the academic arena and high motivation to achieve, have displayed a broad range of activity and leadership outside the academic setting, and have shown strong promise for succeeding in college and beyond,” a news release from the foundation states.

U.S. Sen. Herb Kohl will award the scholarships on April 3 at Pius XI High School, 135 N. 76th St., Milwaukee.
